OUR Shaker high boys team finished this season with an overall record of 12-5-1 and Lake Erie League record of 5-1. In conference play Shaker only lost to Mentor 3-1 in a game that could have gone either way finishing 2nd place in the Lake Erie Soccer League. Under first year coaches Nader Soliman Head Coach,Brad Samelko GK-Assistant Coach, and Matt Sciebeinski J.V. Head Coach the team showed marked improvement with many players recieving awards at the LEL level and Cleveland level. Kerry Howard was voted Player of the year LEL, Eian Katz, Johnathan Beard, Johnathan Machuca were all voted LEL All Selections. At the Cleveland level Kerry Howard was again voted for 2nd Team All-Cleveland and selected for the All-Star game held anually by the Greater Cleveland Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association along with Johnathan Beard and Johnathan Machuca in which coach Nader was also selected to represent the East Cleveland All-Stars as Head Coach of the team. The coaches are proud of what the team has accomplished this year and looking forward to building upon this years success.

SYSA and Shaker High boys have strong ties with all the players currently coming up thru SYSA system at one time or another, the team also plays year round indoors under the SYSA logo in various indoor leagues with SYSA coaches.
The high school team encourages all players looking at playing high school soccer to play year round and always work on their individual skills as much as possible.
