A few things you should know about what it means to be on a 2015-2016 SYSA-PFC team.
Commitment?Fall 2015 and Spring 2016 seasons with optional winter sessions (details below).
Fall season runs from late August through the end of October.
Spring season runs from early April through early June.
Each season is approximately 9 weeks long and includes 8 weekend games (Saturdays or Sundays) and two 75-90 minute practices.
Boys teams generally practice Monday & Wednesday.Teams are expected to go to one tournament per season. Tournaments are usually local and will take up most of a weekend.
$325 League Fee for all players (covers 2 practices and a game, fall & spring season, includes $25 city field fee)
Expectation?Players are expected to attend all practices and games.
Players who attend practices and cooperate with their coaches can expect at least 50% playing time in a game.
Enrichment Opportunities?Pro Clinics are offered to all players at an additional cost.
Information on these clinics will be forthcoming once each season is underway.
Fees: $50/season Fall & Spring $125/session Winter
What about Winter?Participation is optional. We offer 2 sessions, each is 8 weeks long and includes 8 weekend games (Boys games Saturdays, Girls games Sundays) and a weekly hour long practice.
Ideally our competitive players will participate in 2 indoor sessions during the winter months at Force Indoor Sports.
Fees: $200/session with a volunteer coach, $275/session with a pro coach at practice only, $325/session with a pro coach at practice and game.Indoor registration details will be forthcoming in late September.
How can I help?
Every team needs volunteers! Head Coaches, Assistant Coaches, Team Managers, Team Uniform Managers and Team Tournament Managers are all needed for your child's team. If you are interested in one of these jobs, please consult our website (VOLUNTEER tab) for additional information.
